Poll Results: These Chelsea fans pick their favoured group to buy the club

It’s seemingly been going on for a lifetime now, or at least that is what it feels like. But as each day goes by, we are a step closer to finding out who our new owners will be.

There is another deadline coming this Monday, and that will be when the four shortlisted groups to buy the club can throw in their final proposals to Raine Group.

Then hopefully with a bit of luck, we might soon be finding out who is going to be the successful party.

Everyone has their opinions on who they want and different reasons for that. It’s been quite a different mixture of campaigns, with some choosing to be more vocal and public with it, like The Ricketts Family who are so desperately trying to win over Chelsea fans right now after the majority are against them. Then there is the Pagliuca bid, which has been a strange one all along and they have remained very silent throughout.

We also know very little still about the investors backing Martin Broughton’s bid, who have also preferred to operate fairly quietly. We have heard a lot about Todd Boehly’s consortium from the media, and along with Ricketts, they are the party we have been able to gather most information about.

Even still, Chelsea fans seem pretty clear with who they want to be running our club of the four shortlisted bidders anyway, at least judging by the poll we put out on our Twitter account this week.

Out of over 6,000 voters, a clear 85% have clicked Todd Boehly’s consortium, which really is quite a significant number of voters.

Nobody really got close, but next in line would be The Ricketts bid with just 9% of the votes, then Broughton with 4%, and Pagliuca with 2%.

These Chelsea fans have spoken, and the decision is unanimous, bring us Boehly!
