PSV Eindhoven are reportedly plotting a double-raid for two Chelsea midfielders this summer.
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the Eredivisie champions are keen to take Marco Van Ginkel back on loan, as well as signing Mason Mount, who was a revelation at Vitesse Arnhem last term.
The pair scored a combined 30-goals from midfield in all competitions last term, which is utterly ridiculous.
Many will cite the weakness of Dutch football, especially defensively. It’s a valid argument, but both players’ consistency last season was commendable. In particular Mount, who adopted responsibility at Vitesse, despite it being his first season in professional football.
It comes as no surprise that PSV are keen to secure both player’s services on a temporary basis following their respective performances last time around.
Additionally, Frank Arnesen has joined the backroom staff at PSV. He is formerly of Chelsea, and it’s believed that the Eredivisie side are keen to use his relationship with the Blues to their advantage.
