Chelsea have reportedly been offered major encouragement in their pursuit of Barcelona superstar Neymar.

The Daily Star cite Spanish newspaper Marca in reporting that Neymar was involved in a furious bust-up with Barca coach Juan Carlos Unzue. Marca believe that this has created a tense atmosphere in the Nou Camp dressing room, and several Barcelona stars could leave the club if he gets the manager role when Luis Enrique departs this summer.

According to the Daily Star, Neymar is wanted by both Chelsea and Manchester United, and there are suggestions that the latter could look to activate Neymar’s £173million release clause.

The Daily Star note that Roman Abramovich is a big fan of the Brazilian, but it remains to be seen whether he would be prepared to pay a world-record fee to secure his services.

The prospect of Neymar lining up in attack alongside Eden Hazard and Diego Costa is mouth-watering, but merely a pipe dream.
