That’s according to La Cuarta via Metro, who reports that the Jose Mourinho’s club have made the first move in the battle to sign the Chile international.
The contract worth a reported £240,000 along with the potential deal running for four years could entice Vidal to move to Old Trafford.
It’s unknown as to whether Chelsea still has the same strength of interest in the 30-year-old that was shown in January.
Reports in Chile suggested that Conte spoke to Vidal, who he worked with at Juventus about moving to Stamford Bridge. However, a deal didn’t come into fruition as Ross Barkley was signed for £15m from Everton.
The Metro’s re-report also highlights that Manchester United are willing to offer Bayern £42m to lure the midfielder to England.
This will also prove to be another stumbling block for Chelsea as the club may not want to cough up the big bucks to sign a player over 30.
