Chelsea could reportedly look to sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson if Thibaut Courtois leaves the club this summer.

When Courtois first returned to Stamford Bridge following his successful loan spell with Atletico Madrid, we all thought that we had a goalkeeper capable of filling that spot for a decade.

However, not all has gone to plan. Courtois’ family still live in Madrid, which cannot be an ideal situation for the Belgian. Continual links to Real Madrid will inevitably have turned his head, and with his contract now running low, his future at the club is in doubt.

Chelsea need to act fast to ensure that we are not left short in the event of Courtois’ departure. AS Roma’s Alisson appears to be one player the club see as capable of replacing the Belgium number one.

That’s according to Sky Sports, who believe that Liverpool are no longer likely to sign the Brazilian. Chelsea, however, may become active in the race to sign him if Courtois does decide to seek the exit door.

Would he be an adequate replace for Thibuat, Blues? Let us know what you think in the comments.
