Chelsea have drawn up an ambitious three-man striker shortlist as they wait for Alvaro Morata to make a decision on his future, according to Matt Law for the Telegraph.
Morata posted on his Instagram story on Friday night heavily suggesting that he will be staying at Stamford Bridge this summer. However, Matt Law believes that Morata will hold talks with Chelsea on July 9th.
The Spaniard enjoyed an electric start to life as a Chelsea player, but his form fast tailed off and he lost his starting spot in the side. It remains to be seen whether he’ll be here next season, but Chelsea have already prepared a contingency plan in case of his departure.
According to Matt Law, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Juventus’ Gonzalo Higuain are all potential targets. It’s unclear whether any of these three are obtainable, but it’s great to see the club showing some ambition.
