Chelsea may have just inadvertently confirmed that Thibaut Courtois will be staying at the club this summer.

Courtois has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Real Madrid thought to be the frontrunners to sign him.

The Belgian has just one-year remaining on his contract, and has so far shown little willingness to sign an extension.

Chelsea may well have put their foot down with Courtois and told him he’s going nowhere. Either that or he’s made a major U-turn on his future.

While announcing the signing of Rob Green, Chelsea made a point of noting that he’s been signed as a back-up to Courtois.

What do you think, Blues? Maybe he’s not leaving after all…

I say sell him. For the last two seasons all he’s done is express his desire to leave, so let him. Keeping him could cause problems in the locker room. Besides there are several good options available.

He’s leaving, 100%, but use your common sense, the website is hardly going to say “he’s been signed as a back-up to whoever we sign to replace Courtois” is it? The fact is, he hasn’t gone yet, so the club will act as if nothing has changed, until it does.
