Despite the Premier League transfer window shutting some time ago, the media are still linking our players with moves away from Chelsea.
It’s highly unlikely that Chelsea would part with any important members of the squad without the possibility of replacing them – whatever the price.
That may not deter teams trying their luck, however. The Mirror are under the impression that Real and Atletico Madrid are feeling lucky.
The report claims that Real remain interested in signing Hazard, though launching a move at this point would make little sense. They’ve had all summer to do so – and haven’t.
Marcos Alonso is also thought to be wanted by Atletico Madrid. Once more, we wouldn’t be able to replace him, thus have no logical reason to part with him.
We wouldn’t expect any notable outgoings between now and the end of the month. Chelsea fans can rest easy knowing that Hazard and Alonso are going nowhere.
