The blues have not given up hope of signing Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, who is 5/2 to join Chelsea this summer.
Chelsea believe that they have enough time to be patient in their negotiations this summer, and will not be rushed into making any signings, despite us now being half-way through the month of July.
The Telegraph believe that this applies to the Blues’ pursuit of Alex Sandro, who Serie A heavyweights Juventus are reportedly threatening to keep hold of, forcing Chelsea to look elsewhere.
It is reported that Chelsea have already informed Juventus that they are willing to spend as much as £60M to sign the Brazilian international, which would be a new world-record transfer fee for a defender.
The Telegraph cite Italian reports which claim that Juventus have closed the door on Sandro’s exit from the club, but the paper believe that information has not been passed on to Chelsea, who are still hopeful that they will be able to sign him this summer.
According to The Telegraph, want-away Nemanja Matic could also be used to entice Juventus into selling Sandro. That would be beneficial for all parties.
