Chelsea are interested in signing Steaua Bucharest winger Florinel Coman, report The Sun.
In recent years Chelsea have made it their top priority to draft in the most exciting young talent that the world has to offer. Rarely will any of them get near the first-team, but developing them as part of the academy and/or out on loan and selling them on for proifit has proven to be a shrewd strategy.
As per The Sun, Coman is next on the list. The tabloid claim that Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo was in Romania last week to see him in action.
The Sun believe that Coman has a £88M release clause in his contract, as Steaua owner Gigi Becali believes that he is on the same level as Paris Saint-Germain prodigy Kylian Mbappe. That’s quite the compliment!
It seems unlikely we’d be willing to pay such an inflated figure for an unproven teenager, so Marina Granovskaia better get haggling.
