Chelsea are still thought to be in the hunt to sign Juventus left-back Alex Sandro. Here we go again…

We spent the entirety of last summer being linked with the Brazilian. Marina Granovskaia never appeared to have any intention of paying Juve’s asking price, nor was Sandro prepared to push for a move away from Turin.

Twelve-months on, it’s Manchester United who are thought to be chasing the 27-year-old, with doubts emerging over the long-term future of Luke Shaw at Old Trafford.

If Jose Mourinho’s interest in signing Sandro is as genuine as it appears, he will be concerned by recent reports that Chelsea have now re-entered the race to sign him.

Calciomercato suggest that Maurizio Sarri has revived our interest in signing him in a deal worth between €35M-€40M.

There’s only one problem with that – Sarri is not Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte is. It’s easy to forget to be honest…
