Chelsea are preparing to offer a huge player-plus-cash deal to Juventus in exchange for centre-back Leonardo Bonucci, according to The Sun.
The Sun believe that a series of rows with manager Massimiliano Allegri has left Bonucci’s future in Turin in doubt, and Allegri could be tempted to cash-in on the Italy international in the summer transfer window.
The uncertainty over Bonucci’s future appears to have alerted Chelsea, who according to The Sun, are interested in securing his services this summer.
The Sun report that Antonio Conte is prepared to part with more than just cash in order to get his man. It is reported by The Sun that Chelsea will offer Juventus £48million plus midfielder Nemanja Matic, in a bid to try and convince them to sell Bonucci.
The Sun note that Allegri is a big fan of Matic and would likely welcome the exchange. It is a lot of money, and we’d be losing a great player – but Bonucci is one of the best defenders in the world, signing him would be a real coup.
