Chelsea are prepared to loan out Michy Batshuayi in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
Batshuayi joined the Blues in the summer of 2016. The deal was announced before Antonio Conte took the reins at Stamford Bridge, so there were inevitable question marks as to whether the Italian wanted him or the decision to sign him was made by the club.
Conte has also opted to almost completely overlook Batshuayi over the past 16 months or so. The Belgium international has earned a reputation of scoring in the little opportunities he is given, but still does not appear to be anything like a valued member of Conte’s squad.
As per The Sun, the Chelsea boss is prepared to watch him leave this winter. The report claims that he has given the green light to Batshuayi leaving the club on loan in search of regular first-team football.
We can all agree that minutes on the field of play is exactly what Batshuayi needs to continue in his development.
