The agent of reported Chelsea target Marcelo Brozovic has played down rumours of a potential exit from Inter Milan.
Calciomercato report that Chelsea are interested in signing the Croat. It’d make sense, we only seem to target players in Serie A nowadays.
Brozovic has proven his quality for Inter since signing in the winter of 2015. He’s been a permanent fixture in the side throughout his time at the San Siro.
With good performances comes speculation surrounding the player’s future. That’s just the nature of modern football – Brozovic is no exception.
However, any interested parties ought to take a step back. Brozovic appears entirely content at Inter, as his agent has now revealed.
His representative, Mirsoslav Bicanic, has been quoted by Calciomercato citing his client’s hefty release clause and reiterating his happiness with his current situation:
“If any of the best clubs in the world are interested in paying the 60 million euro clause, they will have to make the right offer to the player.”
“He sees Milan as his home, he’s near Zagreb, so there’s no reason to emphasize the rumors of his possible sale.”
Chelsea have no dire need for midfield reinforcements right now anyway. That money ought to be invested either out-wide or in a new striker.
