It’s another day and another rumour surrounding Eden Hazard and Real Madrid.
President of the Spanish giants Florentino Perez has given manager Zinedine Zidane the green light in his pursuit of signing the Chelsea winger, Spanish news outlet Diario Gol reports.
Both Zidane and Hazard have spoken of their admiration for each other despite the Blues recieving no offers for the player.
As per Diario Gol, striker Karim Benzema would have to be sacrificed in order for a potential deal to happen.
Hands off, Real!
There’s always concern from Chelsea fans when there’s any talk of Eden Hazard leaving the club.
The 26-year-old is arguably our best player and has charged the Blues to success since joining the club in 2013.
The Telegraph reported in September that Chelsea were still trying to tie Hazard down to a contract extension. However, talks continue to stall despite the player’s current contract ending in 2020.
If any deal were to happen, Real would have to offer an enormous fee given the quality of the player.
