DEADLINE DAY: The agent of Andreas Christensen has been informed that he is free to leave the club on loan before the end of today, according to Calciomercato.
Andreas Christensen is an incredibly talented player, this has never been called into question. He was head and shoulders above his counterparts at academy level, and proved during his loan at Borussia Monchengladbach that he can cut it in the professional game.
He threatened to break into the starting eleven under Antonio Conte. He did, for a period, but his form tailed off and he fell back to the substitutes bench – which is where he has spent much of his first season playing under Maurizio Sarri.
Both Christensen and his talkative father have publicly discussed the possibility of him leaving Chelsea, and he now may, today. Calciomercato, believe that Chelsea have made the Denmark international available for loan, with a view to him leaving before the deadline.
The report mentions two teams who could be interested – Inter Milan and Juventus. It is at this point unclear if either side will be able to get the deal done, but a loan to either side, who possess serious financial power, could be the end for Christensen as a Chelsea player.
