A surprise team has joined the race to sign reported Chelsea transfer target Jean Michael Seri – and they’re pretty close to home.
Seri was first claimed to be a summer target for the Blues at the tail end of the 2017/18 campaign.
With the shortfalls of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater, it comes as no surprise that Chelsea hoping to add a new midfielder to their ranks this summer.
Seri almost joined Barcelona last summer, but the transfer never materialised. He could be a Chelsea player already if not for the uncertainty surrounding our managerial situation.
Sky Sports claim that Fulham are looking to take advantage of Seri’s reluctance to join managerless Chelsea and convince him to join them.
It’s claimed that the Ivorian’s £35M release clause in his OGC Nice contract will expire on July 15th, so both West London sides will have to move fast in order to complete a deal.
