Leonardo Bonucci made the shock switch from Juventus to AC Milan in the summer.

Juventus appear to be preparing for life after Chelsea target Leonardo Bonucci.

According to Calciomercato, the Serie A leaders have drawn up a list of potential replacements for Bonucci, with Chelsea said to be interested in signing the Italian international to further their chances of success in the Champions League.

Bonucci is widely considered one of the best centre-backs on the planet, and therefore would not come cheap. Calciomercato believe that Juventus would demand a fee in the region of £50million if they are to be convinced to part with him.

Despite his immense quality, paying that sort of figure for a player entering his thirties seems nonsensical – especially when there is no real need for fresh faces at the back.

However, Antonio Conte knows him better than anyone, and if he wants to draft him into his Chelsea squad, he has earned our trust throughout his title-winning debut season in England.
