Chelsea have already held talks with three players ahead of Maurizio Sarri’s appointment, according to Matt Law of the Telegraph.

Sarri is expected to replace Antonio Conte in the coming week, with the club thought to be keen to get the deal over the line ahead of the start of pre-season.

With Chelsea wasting the first month of the summer transfer window attempting to get their new manager through the door, Sarri will no doubt get to work on transfers soon after signing along the dotted line.

Matt Law believes that Chelsea have held talks over signing three players ahead of the Italian’s appointment. All three are thought to be ‘rated highly’ by Sarri.

As per the report, those players are CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker and Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani.

All three players are under the age of 25, which gives you an indication of the sort of players that Chelsea will be pursuing this summer. The squad needs a major rebuild, and we appear prepared to invest in it.
