Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has given his take on the situation surrounding Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge.

We’re growing tired of reporting on this situation. Hazard’s dream since he was a boy was to play for Real Madrid, and that dream hasn’t faded with time.

He could certainly have dealt with this situation better. Time and time again he’s gone public to flirt with Real Madrid. To encourage them to make a move. It’s unnecessary, he’s one of the best in the world, their interest is already there.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Hazard and what his departure would mean for us. Morata has now given his take on the situation.

The former Real Madrid striker is quoted by The Sun saying:

“You can play him in any position. And if he has said it that clearly [he wants to play for Real], then that’s the way it is.”

“We’ve said that it’s not that he wants to leave Chelsea but if Madrid come in for him, that won’t be an obstacle.”

“The thing is that he has a very good relationship with the club, he’s happy there and it’s not like other cases when a player wants to leave a club at any cost.”

“But if it’s good for Chelsea they will keep that in mind.”

Hazard does not appear to have told his teammates he wants out, which is a good sign. We face a nervous wait to see if Real Madrid make their move.
