Real Madrid have rejected a bid from Premier League champions Chelsea for their promising young midfielder Marcos Llorente, according to the Daily Star.
As per the Daily Star, Llorente has caught the eye of Antonio Conte after impressing on loan at Alaves last season where he featured 32 times for the La Liga outfit.
It was expected that the young midfielder would return to Madrid this summer in order to compete with fellow midfielder Casimero for a place in Madrid’s starting eleven.
However, Los Blancos coach Zinedine Zidane has not used the 22-year-old in either of the Spanish Super Cup games, prompting a bid from the London club.
Despite having a bid rejected for the Spain U21 player, the Daily Star report that the Blues are trying to convince the player to make the switch to Stamford Bridge with the promise of more game time.
Yet, the Daily Star report that Perez is very reluctant to let the 22-year-old leave the Bernabeu this summer as Zindane needs the midfielder as a backup option.
