There has been a huge development in Willian’s future as a Chelsea player. The Times claim that he has failed to report for training after Real Madrid placed a £65M bid.
This one has come out of essentially nowhere. Real Madrid’s interest in Willian was denied in the Spanish media, but their English counterparts appear convinced that it exists.
The Times are under the impression that a £65M offer is on the table from Los Blancos, and Willian may well have had his head turned.
It’s claimed that Willian has informed Chelsea that he has a problem with his passport, but the club aren’t buying it one bit.
This comes after the 29-year-old told Brazilian reporters that he was happy with life at Chelsea and in London.
There is a real confusion as to whether Willian remains committed to the cause, or is looking for a move away from the club this summer.
We’ll know the answer sooner rather than later.
