Antonio Conte has managed to make light of Chelsea’s 4-1 demolition at the hands of Watford on Monday night.
Just when you thought our 3-0 defeat to AFC Bournemouth the preceding Wednesday was bad, the champions of England (somehow) managed to outdo themselves and subsequently put major pressure on themselves in their quest to finish inside the top four.
Conte has to take responsibility for our recent shortfalls and search a solution. The Italian granted the players three days off of training following the defeat at Vicarage Road. We imagine he will have spent a considerable amount of that time at the drawing board.
During his pre-West Brom press conference, Conte was quizzed as to whether he would consider switching from a back-three to a back-four, as he did during the second-half against Watford.
He explained that following our capitulation in the closing stages against the Hornets, he has no intention of doing so. See the video below for Conte’s witty response.
