Bristol City CEO Mark Ashton has confirmed that the club are interested in re-signing Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer this summer, report talkSPORT.
Palmer spent last season out on loan with the Championship side, before returning to become a part of Frank Lampard’s Chelsea squad for the start of pre-season.
It has become increasingly clear that there will be no spot for Palmer at Stamford Bridge, with Bristol City’s CEO now confirming their interest in re-signing him.
Mark Ashton is quoted by talkSPORT saying:
“Kasey is one of the players that we like, as do a number of other football clubs. I think it is proven we have got a really good relationship with Chelsea with the business we have done this year and in previous years. Kasey is one that is on our radar but so are a number of players.”
Ball’s in Kasey’s court
We ought to leave this decision to Kasey himself. If he wants to stay on our books and continue to prove his worth out on loan, we’re always open to that.
However, if he feels as though he needs to find a club to join permanently where he can settle and properly develop as a player, we absolutely respect that too.
It’ll be a difficult decision for him to make, no doubt, but he has to act in his own best interests at this stage of his career. What will it be, Kasey?
