Tiemoue Bakayoko’s time on Chelsea’s books could soon be coming to an end, with information coming out of Italy suggesting a permanent move to AC Milan is on the cards.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Rossoneri, who have housed Bakayoko for the 2018/19 campaign, have decided that they will be purchasing him permanently.
Bakayoko, though poor for Chelsea during his debut season as a Blue, has improved his performances significantly this term. Milan appear to be impressed with what they’ve seen.
The Gazzetta’s report claims that the fee which would see Bakayoko sign for Milan permanently is in the region of €35M, still a considerable amount from our perspective.
After Chelsea were handed a transfer ban, we wondered if Bakayoko could return and do a job in the midfield following his drastic upturn in form this season.
However, it looks as though that option is now off the table. If the report’s claims are correct, Bakayoko will be staying in the city of Milan.
