LOAN WATCH: Galatasaray are set to explore the possibility of taking either of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater on loan for the coming campaign, according to Turkish outlet Aksam.
Both Bakayoko and Drinkwater are surplus to requirements under Frank Lampard. While they were initially involved in pre-season under our new manager, it didn’t take long for him to freeze them both out.
Chelsea have sufficient midfield options and have no room for players who realistically do not have a prosperous future at the club. Neither of the pair are fit to play for the Blues, which is why they will likely leave.
According to Aksam, Galatasaray are hoping to take advantage of Chelsea’s yard sale. It’s claimed that either player could go on loan to the Turkish Super Lig giants before the transfer window shuts.
Which player it will be remains to be seen, but all parties involved ought to be interested in getting a deal over the line at the earliest possible opportunity.
