Chelsea go into today’s early kick off against Crystal Palace with a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table. If the blues manage to take this afternoon we’ll not only keep that lead over the Christmas period a club-record of 11th consecutive Premier League victory’s in a row will be equalled.

In midweek Conte’s men grind out a 1-0 victory over Sunderland with Cesc Fabregas scoring the only goal of the game. A victory that shows me have the attitude of the champions winning when we’re not always at our best.

The big game of the weekend between Manchester City and Arsenal at Etihad could only serve as motivation for the Blues as they can move eight or nine points away from Arsenal if the Gunners fail to take all three points.

Eden Hazard’s should feature after the Belgian superstar missed the midweek trip to Sunderland due to a minor knee injury. John Terry is still out while long-term absentee Kurt Zouma returns from injury and will probably be in the squad.

Oscar isn’t expected to be involved due to illness, even if the Brazilian was fit he most probably be left out due to intense speculation suggesting he’s set for a big-money move to China.

Crystal Palace: Hennessey; Kelly, Dann, Delaney, Ward; Cabaye, McArthur; Zaha, Puncheon, Townsend; Benteke.

Chelsea: Courtois; Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill; Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso; Willian, Costa, Hazard.

Chelsea go into the game looking for there 11th straight victory in a row.

Crystal Palace have only mustered three goals in seven previous Premier League home games against Chelsea and one of these was a John Terry own goal.

If Chelsea win this match they will have defeated Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on more occasions than any other team in the Premier League (currently five wins).

Crystal Palace have won only five points in 10 Premier League London derbies since the start of last season (W1 D2 L7); fewer than any other side from the capital in this period.

Since Crystal Palace defeated Chelsea 1-0 in August 2015, the Eagles have picked up only two points in eight Premier League London derbies (W0 D2 L6).

Chelsea are guaranteed to be top of the Premier League on Christmas Day. They have won the league title on each of the four previous occasions they have topped the Premier League at Xmas (2014-15, 2009-10, 2005-06 & 2004-05).

In fact, six of the last seven teams to top the Premier League table at Christmas have gone on to win the title that season.

Cesc Fabregas

There’s been a lot of Speculation about the future of Cesc in the past few month’s due to his lack of playing time.

He made his way into Antonio Conte’s starting line-up for the last game against Sunderland scoring the decisive goal. He’ll hope he can further stake his claim for a regular place for the rest of the season.

Last season C Palace 0 Chelsea 3

The game is live on Sky Sports in the UK and highlights shown on BBC1 in the evening.

Looking at Crystal Palace’s form losing four of their last five home league matches it looks like this could go only one way.

Chelsea have won there last 10 league games winning the last two by the single goal, we think Palace will put up a good fight but the blues will come away victorious winning by the single goal.

Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea
