Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has expressed his worry over the unavailability of several players in the build-up to tomorrow’s match against Watford, the Daily Mail reports.
Cesc Fabregas is the only midfielder that is currently available to start against The Hornets. Tiemoue Bakayoko and David Luiz picked up knocks in the 3-3 draw with Roma on Wednesday. N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater still remain injured.
The Mail reports that Luiz and Drinkwater trained at Cobham earlier today but the pair are unlikely to feature on Saturday. But when speaking in a press conference this afternoon, Conte has hopes to retain some players for the match against Marco Silva’s team as quoted by the Daily Mail:
“’Honestly at the moment I can tell nothing about the starting XI for tomorrow. [We have] many doubts. I hope in these next 24 hours to try to recover some players.”
There were reports of unhappiness in the Chelsea camp, according to the Metro. This was due to Conte’s brutal training sessions. However, Conte has denied any reports of unrest from his players.
Chances may arise for Kyle Scott and Ethan Ampadu as no one knows what tomorrow’s line-up will be.
