Former Chelsea player and manager Ruud Gullit is adamant that Antonio Conte is on trial against Barcelona on Wednesday night, Sky Sports reports.
Conte’s capabilities as a coach have been questioned by many this season with his future at Stamford Bridge under the spotlight.
It’s unknown as to where the Italian’s future lies but when speaking to Sky Sports, Gullit believes Conte needs to show his managerial strengths against the Catalans.
Sky Sports quotes Gullit saying:
“He is on trial against Barcelona. He’s going to show us if he has the right tactics, if he has the right changes.”

Whether or not Conte is at Chelsea beyond the summer, plenty of clubs will show interest in the 48-year-old.
That’s even more so if he can guide the Blues to the quarter-finals of the Champions League by knocking out the tournament favourites.
