Is N’Golo Kante world-class? If he isn’t, who is?
The Frenchman’s influence in the middle of the park was essential for Leicester City in their title triumph in the 2015/16 campaign. He followed up a stellar debut campaign in the Premier League with a move to Chelsea, and he reached even loftier heights in West London.
Kante hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge and immediately established himself as a cornerstone in Antonio Conte’s side. He scooped virtually all of the end of season awards, including the FWA, PFA and PL Player of The Year accolades.
Despite this, Antonio Conte is still unsure whether Kante can be considered among the best in the world. The Sun quote the Chelsea boss, who says:
“I don’t know if he is world class or not. But N’Golo is a really good player. To be be the best player in the Premier League last season is a great thing. And this season he is confirming it.”
In our eyes, Kante is the dictionary definition of a world-class player. There is scarcely a better midfielder anywhere in the world, and we are extremely lucky to have him at our disposal.
