Chelsea are on the lookout for a shot-stopper that can adequately replace Thibaut Courtois next season.
According to the Sun, that may be in the form of RB Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi who has emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s finest players between the posts.
Whilst talks between the Blues and Courtois over a new Belgian continue to stall, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are likely to attempt to lure him away from Stamford Bridge.
If both clubs fail to sign Courtois, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak could be on the move as interest grows in the Slovenian.
Not surprisingly, Atletico also have an eye on Gulacsi in the hope they too can replace their first choice keeper.
At 27 years old, Gulacsi is in the prime ages of his career, having previously played for Liverpool and is currently rated at £25m.
This may prove to be an efficient move from Chelsea with any teams interested in Courtois having to pay at least double the amount of the Hungarian international’s value, according to the Standard.
