Chelsea star N’Golo Kante has made a career defining decision in the build up to what will be an extremely fascinating transfer window.
Real Madrid have had their first approach for Kante turned down as the Frenchman is wary of Casemiro’s presence in Zinedine Zidane’s team. However, Don Balon, not the most reliable of sources have reported on this news.
It seems baffling that a world class star in Kante would be put off by moving to arguably the biggest club on the planet due to competition for places. Casemiro has been an ever-emerging force for the 11-time Champions League holders, but the quality of Chelsea’s midfield gem simply can’t be ignored.
Kante has won the Premier League title with Chelsea last season along with picking up the PFA Player of the Year award last season, illustrating his importance to the team.
Even though Chelsea’s fragile hopes of being in Europe’s top tournament next season could see Kante being tempted to move to the Spanish capital this summer, it would have to take an extraordinary offer for the Blues to consider letting the 27-year-old depart.
