The FA Cup may be Chelsea’s best chance at silverware this season.

Antonio Conte opted to neglect the Carabao Cup last time around, and Chelsea were subsequently eliminated by West Ham United early on. Although we are still in the competition, you would think it likely that Conte will shuffle the pack later down the line in order to prevent fatigue, and ultimately, injury.

Conte did take the FA Cup seriously last campaign, though. Chelsea reached the final and the stage was set for the Italian to replicate compatriot Carlo Ancelotti and win the traditional ‘double’ in his debut season in England. However, Arsenal had other ideas and defeated us at Wembley.

Chelsea’s FA Cup campaign for 2017/18 is about to kick-off, and the Blues have discovered who they will face in the third round of the competition – Norwich City away. The games will take place the week commencing January 6th.

You’d have to fancy our chances of getting through that one.
