The World Cup sees the biggest stars put on the biggest stage to shine – but it also always provides a platform for slightly lesser known players to emerge at the highest level.
That’s what we’re getting with Germany’s Felix Nmecha. He’s been talked about as a good player for a long time, but it’s only now that we’re seeing a breakout tournament on an international level. His performances have been good, and we’re now seeing the Dortmund midfielder linked to multiple teams, including Chelsea.
Germany midfielder linked with Chelsea and Man U move

TeamTalk say that the midfielder is wanted by the Blues and by Manchester United. A move to Newcastle has collapsed, leaving the Blues with a pretty clear path to the 25 year old.
He looks like a natural replacement for Enzo Fernandez – perhaps without the passing range of the Argentine, but with a similar eye for goal. Reports in Germany claim that Dortmund are looking for €100m for their star man, but we can’t see Chelsea paying anything close to that.
If the price gets closer to €80m, this move becomes realistic.
In other news…
Xabi Alonso’s former analyst has been speaking about his old boss and what an impact he can make at Chelsea in the long run.
Maxence Lacroix is getting closer and closer to Chelsea, with the club ready to start negotiating with Crystal Palace over a fee.
