Gianfranco Zola

Chelsea great Gianfranco Zola has backed the club to end this season in a strong manner, reports.

There’s plenty at stake across all competitions for the club. In the Premier League a place in the top four is still on the line whilst the Blues face Barcelona at the Nou Camp in the second leg on Wednesday. Not forgetting our quarter-final FA Cup flash away to Leicester City next Sunday.

When speaking at the Geneva International Motor Show, the club’s official website quotes Zola believing that Chelsea shouldn’t be down on prospects of having a good finish to the campaign.

“Chelsea did very well in the first leg against Barcelona and will hope to get through [to the next round of the Champions League] in the second leg. They can still push on in the Premier League too and have a strong finish.”

Torres Celebrating Against Barcelona
Chelsea will have to produce a similar performance then the one in 2012 at the Nou Camp next Wednesday.

The next challenge for Antonio Conte’s men is a league fixture against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Eagles themselves will need to fight for every point being in a relegation battle.

After the disappointment of losing consecutive top-flight games against both Manchester sides United and City respectively, the defending champions must respond quickly, starting this weekend.
