We have an injury update to bring you ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Hull City courtesy of Physio Room.
The FA Cup provides the Premier League champions with the most realistic opportunity to win a piece of silverware this term. We need to take this competition seriously.
Antonio Conte could be forgiven for having one eye on our upcoming Champions League tie with Barcelona, and thus the Italian may be tempted to shuffle the pack in order to rest key players against Hull.
Conte does have three injury issues to contend with ahead of our clash with the Tigers. Here’s the three players who COULD miss out.
Olivier Giroud and Marcos Alonso
As per Physio Room, Olivier Giroud and Marcos Alonso are both listed as ‘slight doubts’ for tomorrow’s game.
Giroud picked up a minor calf injury during his first start in a Chelsea shirt against West Brom on Monday, whereas Alonso is still carrying an ankle injury.
Both players will undergo late fitness tests before a final decision is made over their availability.
Physio Room report that Ross Barkley will miss tomorrow’s game against Hull with a hamstring injury.
The extend of the injury is still unknown and as of yet no return date as been set.
