Chelsea are reportedly closing in on appointing former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique.

The Blues will soon be in need of a new manager. Antonio Conte’s days at the club are numbered. His chapter at Stamford Bridge will be remembered as a success, but it’s time for change.

It’s a similar story at the Emirates. Arsene Wenger, the longest-serving manager in Premier League history, has announced that he will be stepping down from his post at the end of the season.

As per L’Equipe and Sport (via Sport Witness), both sides are considering replacing their respective managers with former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique.

Enrique won the treble during his time at the Nou Camp. He was blessed with having Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar at his disposal, but deserves credit for making them click.

According to Sport, Chelsea are now leading the race to appoint him. Though it is emphasised that there is no agreement in place yet, Arsenal have work to do if they want to secure the Spaniard’s services.
