Chelsea legend Ashley Cole believes that Chelsea will be in the Premier League title fight this season.

With Maurizio Sarri’s arrival and the introduction of an entirely new style of play, we’re willing to allow the Italian some time to get settled into life at Stamford Bridge.

However, he has got off to the perfect start. Two wins out of two, including one against Unai Emery’s Arsenal. We’ve been quick out the blocks – it wasn’t the case last season.

Cole is impressed with Sarri’s work as Chelsea manager so far, and he reckons that his former side should be in the Premier League title conversation.

The Champions League winner is quoted by the Daily Mail saying:

“Chelsea have gone about their business a little bit quiet in terms of having a new manager.”

“They should be fighting for the title, but I don’t think people are [thinking that way] at the minute. To get six points from two games, it’s a fantastic start. They’ve just got to keep going.”

The title might be a step too far for Chelsea this time around. Getting back into the Champions League is a realistic target. Though, we all thought that back in 2016/17 – and look what happened there!
