The Telegraph have provided us with some early team news ahead of our clash with Arsenal on Sunday.
The Blues go head-to-head with the Gunners at Stamford Bridge in hope of extending their advantage over their rivals to six points early in the Premier League campaign.
The Telegraph have given some early indications as to how Antonio Conte could structure his side for Sunday’s game.
First of all, they claim that Cesc Fabregas, who was the only midfielder to play the full 90 minutes against Qarabag, could be left out of the starting eleven against his former employers. The Telegraph suggest that Tiemoue Bakayoko could start alongside N’Golo Kante in midfield.
The Telegraph claim that Eden Hazard is also expected to be ready to make his first start for Chelsea since May. The Belgian suffered a serious ankle injury on international duty in June.
It is also reported that, as expected, David Luiz and Alvaro Morata will slot straight back into the side. It seems likely that they will replace Andreas Christensen and Michy Batshuayi.
It remains to be seen whether Gary Cahill will slot straight back into the side having served his three-match suspension, or Antonio Rudiger will keep his place.
