Chelsea are planning to open contract talks with Charly Musonda amid interest from two of the Premier League’s biggest sides, according to the London Evening Standard.
Musonda scored his first Chelsea goal on his first Chelsea start against Nottingham Forest last Wednesday. His talent has never been in question, he has just been waiting to be given a proper opportunity to showcase it.
As per the London Evening Standard, Musonda has attracted interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal. The prospect of our little Belgian wizard playing for either of those should not be entertained.
The London Evening Standard believe that Chelsea have been forced into action and will now open contract talks with the 20-year-old. It is mentioned in the report that he earns ‘just’ £12,000-a-week, and he can expect a significant pay-rise.
The sooner he puts pen-to-paper, the better. He’s one of our most promising young players, and has the potential to go to the very top.
