Chelsea may delve into Bayer Leverkusen’s talent pool this summer with a new name from the German side linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
In the recent past, Leon Bailey, the Jamaican winger, has been rumoured to join the Blues next season but he may be joined by a familiar face as the West-London side are ready to sign Benjamin Henrichs.
That’s according to The Sun who report that the £31m get-out clause in the right back’s contract could be reached this summer.
The same report mentions that Manchester United and Manchester City also had Henrichs on their transfer shortlist but Chelsea appear to be the front runner for his signature.
With the sub-standard performances of Victor Moses this season along with Davide Zappacosta failing to make an impression since joining the club last summer, it would be a major surprise if Chelsea didn’t look at strengthening in this position.
Henrichs has been dubbed as the Bundesliga’s best young defender in the Sun’s report and he may provide the solution to our right-back problems.
