We have a last-minute update to bring you on the condition of the Chelsea squad ahead of this afternoon’s FA Cup final clash with Manchester United courtesy of Physio Room.
This may well be Antonio Conte’s final game in charge of Chelsea football club. He has earned the opportunity to go out on a high, but also to depart in the most disappointing of circumstances.
Conte’s legacy will undoubtedly be affected by today’s result. Whether that be positively or negatively remains to be seen. The Italian will be without four players for today’s game.
DANNY DRINKWATER: Drinkwater is still recovering from a calf strain and is ruled out of the FA Cup final. He may never play another game for Chelsea.
DAVID LUIZ: David Luiz’s season has been marred by injury. He won’t be playing today, but hopefully he’ll be fit in time for the start of pre-season.
ETHAN AMPADU: Ethan Ampadu suffered a broken ankle a couple of months ago and will not be fit to feature for some time yet. Get well soon, Ethan!
EMERSON PALMIERI: As Antonio Conte revealed in his pre-match press conference, Emerson Palmieri is injured and unavailable for the FA Cup final.
