Chelsea’s starting eleven to face Tottenham in the Premier League this evening has been confirmed.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has been left out of the starting side, as Maurizio Sarri stamps his authority following the events at Wembley on Sunday evening. Willy Caballero, who was denied a chance to be the hero in the shootout, starts between the sticks tonight.
Emerson Palmieri was one of our best players in the Carabao Cup final, with Sarri speaking fondly of him during his pre-match press conference. For reasons unknown, Marcos Alonso has been fast-tracked into the starting eleven. Your guess is as good as ours.
Mateo Kovacic takes more game-time away from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, while Gonzalo Higuain returns, flanked by Eden Hazard and Pedro. Callum Hudson-Odoi will have to watch yet another game from the sidelines. Sarri has no interest in starting him.
