Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is back in full Belgium training as he prepares to head to the World Cup in Russia with his country.
With Antonio Conte set to depart Chelsea this summer, there is a real feeling that Batshuayi could make an impact here next season. He was never able to earn the full trust of the Italian, who was left red-faced by the electric form of Batshuayi after his loan to Borussia Dortmund back in January.
Batshuayi’s spell at Dortmund was cut-short by an ankle fracture which ended his season. There were fears that he would not only miss the remainder of the campaign, but also the World Cup. They have now been put to bed, with Batshuayi returning to full training with the Belgium national team.
Batshuayi was all smiles when he took to the training pitch with his country. We hope that he enjoys a stellar campaign in Russia and returns to pre-season raring to go.
