Antonio Conte

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that he will one day return to manage in Italy, report Goal.

Conte has already conquered his home country on three occasions. The ex-Juventus boss won three league titles during his time in Serie A, before moving onto greener pastures.

After a stint with the national team, he embarked on life in the Premier League. It took him little time to adapt, as you well know, and won the Premier League title in his debut season.

Conte has now confirmed that he does not foresee him staying in England long term, and intends to return to manage in Italy some time in the future.

Goal quote Conte, who says that it is not in plans to manage outside of Italy for too long:

“I have nostalgia for Italy. I did not have it in my head to stay abroad for so long.”

Conte confirmed that he will return to Italy in the future, but is unsure when that will be, as Goal report:

“Once I have had some more nice experiences I will return to Italy, for sure. I don’t know when, but the goal is to do that.”

From a Chelsea perspective, let’s hope he’s in no hurry to get back to Italy!
