Daishawn Redan has spoken out about why snubbed Manchester United to join Chelsea, the Metro reports.
The 16-year-old caught the eye of Blues’ scouts whilst playing for Ajax’s youth academy set-up.
Redan spoke to Ajax Showtime talking about what it was about Chelsea that attracted the youngster to join us.
The Metro quotes Redan saying:
“Manchester United was fine, but at Chelsea it was ‘wow’. The complex, the fields, I just saw how professional it all was.”
Who is Daishawn Redan?
The Dutchman was an integral part of Ajax’s youth academy as he scored an incredible 34 goals in a season, playing for the Dutch club’s U15 side.
These performances were rewarded with appearances for The Netherlands’ youth teams.
Redan can also operate as a number 10 or winger but has been playing upfront for Jody Morris’ U18 Chelsea team.
The youngster has got off to an impressive start in the U18 Premier League scoring three goals in as many games.
