Eden Hazard could face the biggest decision of his career in the summer transfer window, claims Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur, as reported by the Daily Star.

Hazard’s world-class ability is no big secret, he is widely considered one of the best players on the planet. His nomination for the France Football Ballon D’Or, alongside fellow Blue N’Golo Kante, is testament to just how good he has been in recent years.

The kind of performances that we have seen Hazard replicate time and time again do not go unnoticed, and you’d imagine it’s only a matter of time before the biggest clubs in the world start sniffing around our Belgian genius. Kristof Terreur agrees.

The Daily Star quote Belgian journalist Terreur, who claims that Hazard will have a big decision to make should Real Madrid come knocking next summer:

“For him, this summer (2018) will be a now-or-never as he becomes 27, if they come for him it’s choosing between Chelsea and Real for the rest of his career.”

However, Terreur added that Hazard is happy with life at Chelsea, which could play a part if he ever has to make such a decision, as the Daily Star report:

“He’s very happy in London, in Cobham. He doesn’t like the limelight, his kids speak better English than him so that’s important to him, to his family.”

From a Chelsea perspective, we hope that Hazard retires here, but you have to acknowledge that it’d be hard for any player on the planet to turn down the opportunity to join a club like Real Madrid.
