Eden Hazard has predicted how Chelsea are going to defeat Manchester City when the two sides meet in the Premier League next Sunday.
Eden Hazard was on fire during Chelsea’s 5-0 demolition of Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon. He scored two goals, but perhaps more importantly, proved that he can strike perfect chemistry with new signing Gonzalo Higuain.
Hazard has played with so many strikers since joining the club back in 2012. Other than Diego Costa, he will have been incredibly frustrated with the number of the chances he created which failed to find their way into the back of the net.
He now has a striker who has proven throughout his career that he is capable of scoring goals. The two of his own that he bagged against Huddersfield were testament to that. Hazard is now growing in confidence, and he reckons we’ll beat Man City.
Although we may well hand the title to Liverpool if we win at the Etihad, we have ambitions of our own that we need to focus on. We need to beat City, and Hazard thinks we will. He’s even gone as far as predicting exactly how the game will go.
He’s quoted by the Independent saying:
“It’s going to be a different game [against City] than two or three months ago. I think they will have the ball. City have these kind of players to play together. We will defend well and then we will score one goal or two.”
It’s a great shame that we head into this game without the belief that a win could get us back into contention for the title, but that’s just how the cookie crumbles. We need to go out there, get the W, and push on into the top four.
