Antonio Conte will NOT take charge at Real Madrid, despite reports that the Italian was close to replacing Julen Lopetegui.
Lopetegui will not be carrying on at the Santiago Bernbaeu after it became clear that he was not the man to take Real Madrid forward.
A team which has won the Champions League three-years in a row should not be losing 5-1 to Barcelona, even if they have lose talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.
Florentino Perez will be hoping that a new manager is what Real Madrid need to turn their season around, with Conte previously thought to be the favourite to take the job.
However, reports in Spain now claim that the agreement that was previously in place has been ‘broken’ and negotiations to appoint Conte have now been halted.
At this point, it doesn’t look as though Conte will be taking charge at the club, which is a blow in our efforts to keep hold of Eden Hazard.
