The reason that Pedro was forced to leave the field of play against Burnley has been revealed, and it’s nothing to worry about, thankfully.
The Spaniard was withdrawn in the first-half of the game and replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who bagged a hat-trick on Thursday night against BATE.
Especially with Pedro suffering with a shoulder injury earlier in the season, him being forced to leave the field with no noticeable damage being done to him came as a concern.
Maurizio Sarri offered some clarity on the situation following the game. Pedro is not injured, he was in fact suffering with a stomach ache and was unable to continue.
Sarri reports that Pedro had to come off during the game due to a very strong stomach ache. That is all from the boss here but there will be more on https://t.co/OFDrFXj77c soon, including his views on Barkley’s and Morata’s displays today. #BURCHE

With Eden Hazard absent with a back problem, it comes as a relief that Pedro will not also be set for a spell on the Chelsea treatment table. We just hope that he made it to the toilet in time, or the kit-man will be earning his money this week…
